Kiln Formed | Custom Textured, Painted and Laminated Glass
| Kiln Formed glass is also commonly known as ‘Slumped Glass’ or ‘Custom Textured Glass’. The unique patterns are made by placing an ordinary piece of window glass into a glass kiln and ‘firing’ the glass until the glass takes on the patterns or texture it is laid upon. As Glass Artists we specialise in the design and manufacture of Kiln Formed Glass. All of our textured glasses are custom made, one-off productions with no two panels identical keeping you project unique.With one of the largest glass kilns in Australia for the production of Custom Textured Glass (Slumped Glass), Perth Art Glass is well suited to produce both large scale commercial projects and smaller domestic works. Our wide experience and technical skilss ensure the clients wishes can be made into functional pieces of toughened Architectural Art Glass such as screening, signage, partitions, frameless shower screens and many other applications all conforming to the current Australian Safety Standards.
Perth Art Glass also produces Textured Glass Splashbacks, as shown in the diagram below these splashbacks can only be fitted into the area highlightend in green. We also work closely with paint specialist ‘Glass Surface Coatings’ to produce textured, multicoloured pictorial splashbacks.
