Glass Fusing and Slumping incorporating Kiln Carving

This sought after course is designed to introduce the basic principles of glass firing and offering an opportunity to be instructed by Ian Dixon, an accredited glass artist. Students will be educated on essential techniques and a large variety of functional information, such as the best products to obtain professional results and scientific principles in glass fusing. Ian Dixon’s experience with Art Glass will provide students with a well-informed initiation into the exciting world of Glass Fusing!

Students will complete two pieces, a coloured fused and slumped plate and a clear textured platter.

The course runs over two Saturday’s from 9:30am – aproximately 4:00pm and costs $395, including Materials, Kiln Firing and hire of tools. Students can use their own tools if preferred.

To ensure you gain the most from the course, numbers are limited. Places will be confirmed with a required $50 non-refundable deposit or the place may be given to the next in queue. The course must be paid in full by day one of the workshop.

Terms and Conditions for workshop enrolment

To secure a position in a workshop we require a $50 deposit. Until the deposit is recieved your position may be forfeited. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

All workshops have a minimum enrolment required for the workshop to run. If Perth Art Glass reschedules or cancels a workshop the deposit remains vaild for a rescheduled date or will be refunded if preferred by the student.
