Leadlight Course

This six week course is run by Ian Dixon, a professional and qualified Leadlighter, and is a very comprehensive course which will allow students to produce a high standard of work & the confidence to continue alone. The aim of the course is to design & manufacture a traditional leadlight panel.

Areas covered include: Safety and health aspects of glass work, Glass cutting techniques, Use of art glass and selection principles and Designing for leadlights

Manufacturing Techniques include: Preparing cartoons, Selecting and cutting glass, Leading panels & Soldering techniques and Cementing and Finishing Process

The workshop runs over six Wednesday nights from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and costs $190 for tuition, which includes a Fundamentals of Leadlighting book. Enrolment

To ensure you gain the most from the course, numbers are limited. Places will be confirmed with a required $50 non-refundable deposit or the place may be given to the next in queue. The course must be paid in full by day one of the workshop.

Terms and Conditions for workshop enrolment

To secure a position in a workshop we require a $50 deposit. Until the deposit is recieved your position may be forfeited. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

All workshops have a minimum enrolment required for the workshop to run. If Perth Art Glass reschedules or cancels a workshop the deposit remains vaild for a rescheduled date or will be refunded if preferred by the student.
